I love my home made pancakes and not keen on cafe or restaurant made I am afraid. Not that I am a chef or any pancake expert. I can make them how I like though, not too sweet, with some substance to fill me and fuel me too! RECIPE
1 egg 1/4 cup or less of sugar 3/4 cup milk or Filmjolk (drinking yoghurt) 1 cup plain flour (plain or wholemeal) pinch of salt 1 teaspoon of baking powder Mix ingredients in order to make a batter Pour a little extra virgin olive oil into a non stick pan and heat. Pour in batter to the thickness you desire Cook until mixture bubbles and flip! Spoon on two heaped spoonfuls of quark yoghurt-(I used Rokebys strawberry yoghurt here and I also love vanilla) Top with fresh berries and crushed nuts. Devour! No 'greasyness' (is that even a word?), excessive sweetness here, just a tasty pancake for when you need one! Great pre or post exercise fueling meal. The quark also has 20g of protein in 170g tub. * I consult to Rokeby Farms and love their quark yoghurt and Filmjolk drinking yoghurt but you can use the brand of your choice! #pancakes #protein #picklets #recovernutrition #recovery #homemade #health #nutrition
